These sessions offer invaluable insights and perspectives on a diverse array of topics. \nDr. Rahul Bhagwat\, an accomplished tabla player and dedicated classical music scholar\, is also an avid birder and wildlife photographer. With over 1000 rare bird species captured in his photography collection\, Dr. Bhagwat’s passion for nature has led him to collaborate closely with the Gujarat Forest Department\, where his photography and conservation work contribute to eco-tourism and educational displays across forest centers. He regularly conducts workshops on wildlife photography and conservation\, showcasing the rich biodiversity of India through annual exhibitions\, publications\, and school programs. He also runs an NGO\, ‘Wildlife Educare’\, which aims to create wildlife awareness in tribal schools across India. \nIn this event\, Dr. Bhagwat will share his journey as a birdwatcher\, insights into wildlife photography\, and his dedication to conserving India’s natural habitats. In his own words\, \n“Birding isn’t just a hobby; it’s a lifestyle\, and conserving nature is an absolute necessity.” \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to welcome our first guest speaker Ms. Nidhi Kamath\, a non-fiction filmmaker and founder of Indigo Reels in Vadodara. Ms. Kamath has been creating impactful films since 2013\, focusing on Indian crafts and artisans. At our event\, she will talk about and also screen her National Award-winning documentary\, Weaves of Maheshwar\, which she co-directed. The film highlights the revival of handloom weaving in Maheshwar and showcases the stories of the people driving this change. \nAnd we are equally delighted to have our second guest speaker for the evening\, Mr. Nimish Makadia\, Director of Helifix India Pvt Ltd. With nearly 100 heritage restoration and structural strengthening projects completed across India\, Mr. Makadia brings a wealth of experience in the field of conservation.
